Stable Release
Nightly Build
⚠️ Note
The Nightly build is the testing and development version. It updates every night and may contain bugs or experimental features.
Stable Release
⚠️ Requirements
Only Windows 10 (build 17134 / version 1803) or later is supported, for Unix domain socket support. Administrator rights are required for installation, since the tunnel runs as a background system service.
Install via Chocolatey
choco install wgtunnel
Stable Release
⚠️ Requirements
The firewall must use nftables or iptables with the nft backend (
iptables-nft). On systemd-based distributions the daemon starts automatically at boot. On other init systems it installs but needs to be started manually (or integrated with your init system).
Debian / Ubuntu
Preferred: via the apt repository (future updates land as regular apt upgrade updates). Review the script here before running it:
wget -qO- https://apt.wgtunnel.com/install.sh | sh
Or, download the .deb directly from the latest release:
sudo apt install ./wgtunnel*.deb
Fedora / RHEL
Preferred: via COPR (future updates land as regular dnf upgrade updates):
sudo dnf copr enable zaneschepke/wgtunnel
sudo dnf install wgtunnel
Or, download the .rpm directly from the latest release:
sudo rpm -Uvh wgtunnel*.rpm
Arch Linux
Preferred: via the AUR:
yay -S wgtunnel-bin
Per Arch packaging guidelines, this does not enable or start the daemon for you.
sudo systemctl enable --now wgtunnel-daemon.service
Or, download the .pacman package directly from the latest release:
sudo pacman -U wgtunnel*.pacman
Other distros (tarball)
Use this only if none of the formats above fit your distro.
tar -xzf wgtunnel*-linux-x64.tar.gz
cd wgtunnel*-linux-x64/
sudo ./install.sh
Stable Release
⚠️ Requirements
Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later, on Apple Silicon. Intel Macs are not currently supported.
Open the .dmg and drag WG Tunnel into Applications.
On first launch, macOS will ask you to approve the background service - the app prompts you with a button straight to System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions.
